Test packages

We offer a range of individual analyses or analyses packages that have been compiled by doctors. If you would like to have a specific individual analysis or you know exactly which analyses you would like, please book an appointment to see a nurse.

Analysis packages are suitable for preventive health checks or specific concerns or if you would like a comprehensive overview of your health.

A referral is not needed for paid analyses or to consult a nurse.

A diverse and balanced microbiome is essential for good health and achieving the desired body weight. This is based on proper nutrition. If the gut microbiome is imbalanced, it can lead to a variety of diseases and other health problems, including digestive problems, obesity, diabetes and allergies. A microbiome test gives you an overview of what’s going on in your gut and it can help prevent the development of chronic diseases.

We recommend you take the test if you: 

  • are overweight,
  • are underweight,
  • follow a special diet,
  • are starting or have just finished a course of antibiotics,
  • feel discomfort in your stomach.

The test answers the following questions: 

  • Which bacteria live in your gut?
  • Is your microbiome diverse and balanced?
  • Do you have enough probiotic bacteria in your gut?
  • Does the bacterial composition indicate inflammation?
  • Should you change your diet and how?
  • How does food affect the microbiome?
  • Are you consuming enough fibre?
  • What type of fibre should you consume?
  • Are you consuming too much fat and protein?
What does the package include?

  • up to a 60-minute consultation with a nutritionist who can help interpret the results of the analysis and make appropriate dietary recommendations.
How is the test done?
  • When you order the test, book a convenient time to see a nurse.
  • The nurse will give you a sample collection kit and instructions for the test.
  • The sample must be taken at home (the sample is collected from the stool).
  • The microbiome test must be linked to your account on the Elsavie website and you must answer a questionnaire.
  • The sample must be sent to the Elsavie laboratory, instructions for this are included in the sample collection kit (at no extra charge).
  • Once the analysis results are in, we will contact you to book a consultation with a nutritionist.
  • Analysis results will arrive within four weeks after the sample reaches the laboratory.

We recommend taking the test for those with the minimum age of 14 and up. The analysis results report is available in Estonian and English.

Important to know

The report only identifies those associations that have been proven by sufficient clinical studies and that we consider reliable.

What the microbiome test doesn’t show and what the report doesn’t provide:

  • the report does not constitute a medical diagnosis by a doctor;
  • the results presented are not suitable for the diagnosis of intestinal infection;
  • microbiome tests do not identify food intolerances or allergies;
  • the microbiome test does not show the presence/absence of fungi, parasites or viruses in your gut.
