At the Confido Surgery Centre, we provide patients with high-quality planned surgical care in 12 specialities, using state-of-the-art technology. We perform both day surgery and inpatient treatment.
Surgical procedures and operations require a prior appointment with a specialist doctor who will create a treatment plan.
After surgery, patients can continue with follow-up or rehabilitation treatments at Confido, such as laser therapy for scar removal or physiotherapy.
Surgery Centre
The Surgery Centres are equipped with modern operating rooms and facilities for post-operative recovery: private rooms, recovery rooms and intensive care units, where patients receive round-the-clock care.
Instalment payment
Services can be paid for in several instalments, via after-payment or using a small loan.
Health insurance
Many procedures can be covered by the employer’s health insurance.
Scheduling surgery
Before the surgery, please read the patient reminder and Confido house rules, which you will find here.
Anaesthesiology
The Surgery Centre is staffed with anaesthesiologists and anaesthesia and intensive care nurses as well as surgical nurses and assistants. All our anaesthesiologists are highly trained specialists who use the full arsenal of anaesthetic techniques daily – from short-lived sedation to complex nerve blocks.
Frequently asked questions
In the case of surgery under general anaesthesia, do not eat for 6 hours before the surgery or drink, chew gum or smoke for 4 hours before the surgery. However, please note that excessive fasting (12 hours or more) before surgery is also not recommended as it can cause nutrient deficiencies and dehydration.
Be sure to tell your doctor if you are taking blood thinners (e.g. aspirin, Marevan, Eliquis, Xarelto, Pradaxa, Lixiana) to plan for timely withdrawal before surgery.
The morning of the operation, take your regular medication with a little water (except for blood thinners, which should be discussed with the doctor when planning the operation). Patients are asked to bring to the clinic the medicines they take on a daily basis (such as insulin for diabetics and an inhaler for patients with asthma) and a list of medicines containing the doses thereof.
Due to impaired reactions, you are not allowed to drive a car or operate machinery for 24 hours after anaesthesia (even short-term). To get home safely, ask someone to accompany you and, if possible, arrange transportation.
