Since completing my residency in gynaecology and obstetrical care at the University of Tartu, I have worked as a gynaecologist at the Gynaecology Centre of the North Estonia Medical Centre Surgery Clinic with a focus on surgical gynaecology. I cover the up-to-date multidisciplinary diagnosis and treatment of every kind of gynaecological issue women encounter over the course of their lives, including benign and malignant tumours, pelvic prolapse and urinary incontinence. In addition, I counsel women on choosing contraceptives and implant contraceptives, perform gynaecological ultrasound and colposcopy examinations as well as offer advice to patients experiencing symptoms of perimenopause.

I am devoted to my profession as a gynaecologist. I find it fascinating and it allows me to help and counsel patients at different stages of life. A gynaecologist is often the first person women see or trust with their concerns. This means we are in an excellent position to use our best knowledge and skills to help people or refer them to other specialists if the issue is not gynaecological. I believe in taking a wider approach to treating health issues. We have to look beyond the issue at hand and consider lifestyle as well as prevention. I hold the experience of my colleagues in high regard and find it important to involve a variety of specialists and work as a team to find the best solution for the patient.
