Dr. Jürgen Rünk graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Tartu in 2017. After that, he completed a residency in pediatric surgery and further specialized in pediatric orthopedics at the University Hospital of Graz, Austria. He has also participated in numerous specialized courses, seminars, and conferences across Europe and is an active member of the European Pediatric Orthopedic Society. He works full-time at the Tartu University Hospital. In his daily practice, Dr. Rünk deals with both congenital and acquired musculoskeletal disorders and deformities (including conservative treatment of spinal curvatures, chest wall deformities, and orthopedic expressions of neurological diseases), as well as the treatment of various traumas and sports injuries. His special interest in pediatric orthopedics focuses on lower limb issues, as well as genetic and metabolic bone diseases. Despite his main focus being pediatric orthopedics, Dr. Rünk also handles typical pediatric surgical conditions such as hernias, undescended testicals, foreskin problems, various skin lesions, etc., providing initial treatment.
