Dr Tarmo Areda is an experienced neurosurgeon, focusing on treatment of injuries and illnesses of brain, spine and peripheral nerves. Dr Areda has graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Tartu University (2000), he has a PhD degree at neuroscience (2006), and he has specialized on neurosurgery at several Centres of neuroscience in Estonia and Finland (2005-2010 – Tallinn, Tartu, Turku, Kuopio). Additionally, he has also passed a special course at European Association of Neurosurgical Societies (EANS) and European Society of Pediatric Neurosurgery (ESPN). Dr Areda constantly improves his professional skills at several theoretical and practical trainings and courses across the world.
The largest group of illnesses Dr Areda is focused at, is spinal diseases, especially lumbar and cervical radiculopathies. In addition to the previous, Dr Areda works in depth with functional neurosurgery, pediatric neurosurgery and surgery of peripheral nerves.
