An X-ray scan is a widely used primary examination method in which an image is obtained using X-ray radiation. The examination takes the anatomical characteristics of the patient into account in order to minimise the radiation dose. When X-ray scans are performed on children, specifically adapted programmes and techniques with lower radiation doses are used.
Please note!
- Ionising radiation is used for X-rays. We are constantly working to reduce radiation exposure so that the examinations are carried out with the lowest possible dose of radiation.
- You will be referred for an X-ray by your physician, and a referral is always required (even for paid services).
- We also perform examinations under the Health Insurance Fund contract.
- Unless there is an urgent medical indication, X-ray scans are not performed during pregnancy.
