General and family medicine
Appointment with a nurse
Look for appointment timesAn independent nurse’s appointment is intended for receiving primary advice on everyday health concerns (staying healthy, preventing diseases and alleviating symptoms) as well as assessing your health status.
The nurse will listen to your complaints, make further recommendations, and if necessary measure the most important health indicators (blood pressure, heart rate and other anthropometric assessments needed to make a decision) as well as assess your general health status (ECG, mucous membrane examination, lung auscultation, etc.).
If necessary, the nurse will also perform simple medical procedures:
- administering medication
- wound dressing
- treatment of minor burns or insect bites
- removal of splinters or small foreign bodies
- ear irrigation
For an additional fee, it is possible to perform primary blood and urine analyses during the appointment.
If the need to see a doctor or another specialist (including a specialist nurse) arises during the appointment, the nurse will explain this and give you instructions for booking the appointment (this may not happen on the same day).
The nurse will not issue any prescriptions or referrals during the appointment.
