Neurology

Neurology is a branch of medicine that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of nervous system diseases. Neurological medical care is provided by a neurologist.

Neurologist consultation

Look for appointment times

For the diagnosis and treatment of nervous system diseases, including headaches and back pain, we recommend consulting a neurologist for an expert’s opinion of a previous diagnosis or treatment plan.

Diseases that neurologists work to prevent, diagnose and treat are stroke, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, involuntary movements caused by uncontrollable muscle contractions, multiple sclerosis, restless leg syndrome, infectious diseases of the nervous system (meningitis, encephalitis, Lyme disease). Our neurologists can also give advice on recovering from a neurological disease or coping with a chronic illness.

Patients aged up to 18 are consulted by a paediatric neurologist.

The appointments financed by the Health Insurance Fund can only be booked by calling 1330 or visiting the National e-Booking System. The Health Insurance Fund appointments only take place in Tallinn. The patient has to pay the standard visit fee of €5. A referral is required to register for an appointment.
